I'm A Prefect

Yesterday we had a special assembly. Mrs Vickers told all the Prefects to go up. Heilala announced the new Prefects for 2017. It was me, Saluselo and Katrina. I was very happy that I was a Prefect. When I went home My mother and father were very proud of me.

Meeting The NZ Breakers

On Wednesday 17th November me, Samuel, Aydrian, Quros, Timote Junior, Sione, Dakbai, Min Zin, Popi and Pepe went to see the Breakers training center. We left school at 9:30am. Everyone was excited. When we arrived it started raining so we ran inside. It was massive. We could hear the squeaking of our shoes. After the training we all received a free basketball and a 25 minute lesson with 2 of the breakers players. We took a photo and came back to school with Mr Reid.
     

Algebra Testing

Today we had an Algebra test. I was nervous. We had 45 minutes to do our test. It was really fun. Some of the questions were easy and the others were hard. I finished 5 minutes early. When it was finished everyone was relieved. Finally our Maths test was over.  

Where's Our Teacher

Today I came to school and noticed Mrs Golder's things weren't there. After fitness, Mrs Vickers told us that she had a headache and will not be attending school today. We got our chromebooks and bags ready. Me, Lupe and Timote Junior went to Room 1. When we arrived there I opened my chromebook ... It was dead. So we had to march back down to the Senior block and ask Mr Reid if we could borrow some of his chargers. We stopped at Room 12 to get our general books for writing. After morning tea we went to Room 12 to get our chromebooks. At the end of the day we had fun being in Room 1.    

Senior Syndicate Assembly

On Monday Room 12 hosted the Senior Syndicate Assembly. Aydrian and Meana did an item, it was a class feud. I was representing Room 12 and I came last. I was disappointed but I still had a great time.

Trip To The Botanic Gardens

On Thursday we went to the Botanic Gardens. Everyone was excited to on the trip. Our morning tea bell rang at 9:25 am. The bell rang and everyone went to line up in front of Room One. We went by bus it took a long time. When the bus stopped everyone was looking outside. Everyone in Room 12 had a piece of paper with questions and we had to walk around the garden to find the answers. When it all finished we went back to the bus and I fell asleep. It was the best trip ever.

Room 12 Syndicate Assembly

On Monday we hosted the first Senior Syndicate for Term 3. We had to set up the Assembly. Aydrian and Timote Junior were setting up the teams for our Olympic tabloids. Timote Junior had to hold the container with the country names inside. Rachel from the Winter Learning Journey, gave a certificate to the people who participated. Prizes were given to the people who published the most blog posts.       

Duffy Show

On Monday our entire school watched a Duffy show. It was funny and interesting . I really enjoyed watching it. 
The show was about Duffy traveling back in time. He moves to a new house and meets a lady named Ruby. Ruby is an old lady who can't read and her father died in.. World War 2. Duffy travels back in time to save Ruby's father.       

Back to school

When I went to school I was very excited because I haven't seen my friends in a very long time. I felt so good to be back at school with all the learning and a new start.
