Room 12 did an experiment using a spinning disc. The spinning disc is a circle with two colours on each half. Our focus was to combine two colours on a wheel and spin it as fast as possible so the colour change will be easy to observe. The colours we used were blue, red and green. With each wheel a new colour emerged.
When our circles were finished we punched two holes into the centre of the circle. We inserted a string through the circle. We turned the string until we couldn't turn it any more. We pulled the string and we noticed different colours in each of the following combinations: blue and red made purple, green and red made yellow and blue and green made turquoise.

Liquid Art
On Tuesday last week we did liquid art for our science experiment. It was so fun to see how the colours mixed together with the milk. In my group were Samuel, Aydrian, Curtis and Vaimoana. At the start we didn't know what to do. As we were working throughout the science experiment we had better knowledge of what we were doing. If you would like to see a short clip of how it turned out click here.
