Film Festival 2015

Film Festival
Yesterday every class in the senior block went to the film festival with some year 4 student to fill up the seats. We left at 10.45am and finished at 12.45pm. I enjoyed all of the movies in the theater. I was sitting next to Jack Daniel and Lupe, we were laughing a lot. We watched 18 movies all together. We took some photos. Me, Lupe and Sione were dancing. I really enjoyed watching the movies including our own on the big screen. I really hope we go again next year.

Mad Science Experiment

We did an experiment about the water cycle. Here are some steps explaining how to do it.

Step 1: Get a cup and fill it in water
Step 2: Get the Shaving Foam and shake it so it's soft and squishy
Step 3: Squeeze the foam around the cup filled of water
Step 4: Add food colouring and then watch the food colouring go through the shaving foam, then it rains food colouring.

When the shaving foam was full of food colouring it rained.

Flag Debate

I think the designer was thinking that he or she should use the same colours as our current flag. The blue stands for the skies and the sea’s. The red stands for the blood of the soldiers who fought our wars. Lastly the fern stands for New Zealand and how we see it a lot and the white stands for our sheep and the white clouds.

I want the our current flag to be our final flag because this was the flag that our soldiers fought for  and this was the flag for a very long time.

How water cycle works?

Explanation
How the water cycle works?

Did you know that water never stops. It gets evaporated to the sky,  then turns into droplets and then they turn into clouds or frost. Then it turns into clouds it moves with the wind then it turns into rain.  When it rains the water does the same thing over and over  again. Now that's how water never ever stops.

If you didn't know that water has three states, and that is solid, liquid and gas. Water is all around the earth. The water gets solid,  it freezes and then makes hail and ice.

Auckland Water

Title: Auckland water                         Report

Water in Auckland comes from three places and they are dams, rivers and underground.
There are 11 dams that  supply water for Auckland. Auckland's dams are mainly located in the Hunua and Waitakere ranges.
Auckland gets river water from  three  different sources  that are  the Waikato, Mahurangi and Hoteo rivers. Groundwater supply comes from rain in high mountains which comes down through the soil or rock fractures .

These are the places we get most of our water from.

Term 2 Reflections

This term I enjoyed doing badminton, Anzac learning journal and learning how to do a blog post. I'm very happy I have done my goals for term 2. This term I'm doing very well with sports and listening to the teacher most of the times. Next term I need to learn how not to talk to my friends during learning time and do my work. I am very happy on what I'm doing now.

A Very Secure Password

We are learning to create strong passwords and make sure our Google account is secure. Your password must be very strong, secure and unique. Your password should be at least 8 letters and maybe you could do the first line of a song or poem and choose the first letter of each word. If you have the same password for everything it is like having one key to everything.
