First Tech Of Term 4

On Wednesday, the year 8 students went to Tamaki College for their first Tech of Term 4.
Mr Grundy welcomed us to the class. He alerted us about the dangers. Step by step he taught us how to cut stained glass just in case we forgot over the holidays. When I was cutting the glass I found it really difficult. Some people were already on tinning so we had to stay away from them. Everyone was working hard and doing their work.

Tech

Today we went to Tamaki College for Technicraft. This week we switched over to Mr Grundy's Woodwork. The year 8's are doing stained glass while the year 7's are doing graphics.

As we entered the workshop Mr Grundy warned everyone about the dangers inside. Everyone grabbed a stool and sat at a table. He told us not to hold the glass by its side, because you may cut yourself. Stained glass is very hard to learn.

Back To Technicraft

Today we went to Tamaki College to begin our  Technicraft class for this term. The year 8 students had cooking with Mrs Tuipolotu.

We made coconut truffles. The ingredients were oreos, coconut, condensed milk and chocolate. First we had to break the oreos into little pieces, then put them into a bowl. Later we added the coconut and poured the condensed milk.

After all the ingredients were mixed we had to put it into the fridge for 10 minutes . Next we had to melt some chocolate chips for our topping. When the truffles were ready we poured the melted chocolate on top. It was delicious.


  

Technicraft

Every Wednesday our year 7 & 8s go to Tamaki College to do Technicraft. The year 8s do cooking but the Room 12 and 11 year 7s split up. In my group are James, Lupe, Athens, Meana, Timote Junior, Jack Daniel and me. We do graphics, we draw lines and picture. On Wednesday we had to draw our own monsters. Our teacher is Mr Pineda. Every week I look forward to doing activities with him.
